Every Dress To Impress player has one question right now: when can I start claiming the spooky stuff? The Dress To Impress Halloween update has been teased for weeks, and creators are already posting "new items" videos. Here is the catch. The update is not out yet. The developers delayed it, so the guides you see today are mostly previews, leaks, and last year's rewards in a new costume. Below you will find what is actually confirmed, how past Halloween items were earned, what to do before launch day, and which rumors to ignore.
⚡ Quick Answer
You cannot claim 2026 Halloween items yet. The update was reportedly pushed from October 10 to October 17. Last year's event gave out items through free rewards, a Baddie Pass, candy currency, and quests, so expect something similar. Check in-game announcements on launch day.
When Does the Dress To Impress Halloween Update Come Out?
The fan news account DTI News posted on October 4, 2026 that Dress To Impress "has pushed back the Halloween Update from October 10 to October 17." I could only see that post as a search preview, since X blocks automated readers, so treat October 17 as reported, not official. I also found no confirmation from the developers' own page. Check the game's X account and the in-game news before you plan around the date.
| Event | Date | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Three sets shown at RDC26 | September 2026 | Reported as coming in the Halloween update |
| First announced release | October 10, 2026 | Delayed |
| New release date | October 17, 2026 | Reported, not confirmed by me |
What Is Confirmed About the 2026 Halloween Update?
Not much, and that is the honest answer. DTI News reported that the game showed three new sets at RDC26 that will arrive in the Halloween update. A 2026 event guide published October 3 agrees that three sets were confirmed, but it does not name them and says no dated announcement had landed yet. That is the full list of solid facts I could verify.
⚠️ Important: Many "new Halloween items" videos right now are leaks and previews, and some mix in rewards from the 2025 event. I could not find an official 2026 item list, prices, or quest steps. Anything specific you see before launch should be treated as a rumor.

How Were Halloween Items Earned Last Year?
Past events are the best guide to how this one will work. The official Dress To Impress account announced last year's update on October 18, 2025, and the post gives a clear map of the item sources.
"HUGE HALLOWEEN UPDATE OUT NOW!! 56 new items (VIP, Free, Baddie Pass, Candy Currency + 2 secrets) 13 new hairs."
📊 Key Stat: The 2024 Halloween update added 67 clothing items: 28 VIP, 31 non-VIP, and 8 shop only. Source: Pocket Tactics.
| Item source | How it worked in 2025 | Likely in 2026? |
|---|---|---|
| Free items | Listed as a source in the official announcement | Probable, unconfirmed |
| Baddie Pass | A Halloween edition pass was part of the update | Unknown |
| Candy currency | Event currency, tied to a Freeplay Town with Apple Bobbing | Unknown |
| Quests | Lana lore quests in 2024, with rewards you cannot buy | Probable, unconfirmed |
| VIP items | Paid items in the update | Probable |
In 2024, reaching the event meant entering a green portal in the lobby or picking the Halloween server from the room list, according to the 2026 guide linked above. Whether the layout stays the same this year is unknown.
What I Noticed While Checking the "New Item" Claims
When I compared the preview videos with the dated sources, I noticed that a lot of the "2026" details match the October 2025 announcement almost word for word: candy currency, Apple Bobbing, a Halloween Baddie Pass, and a Lina quest. That tells me many creators are describing last year's event or predicting a repeat. A good rule of thumb is to ask whether a claim has a date and an official source. If it does not, wait for launch day. Being early to a rumor is how you end up farming candy that does not exist.
How Can You Prepare to Claim Halloween Items on Launch Day?
- Confirm the date: Check the official Dress To Impress X account and the in-game news on October 16 and 17.
- Update the game: Rejoin after the update goes live so the new content loads.
- Look for the event entrance: Past years used a green lobby portal or a dedicated Halloween server. Check both.
- Read the quest board first: Lore quests have given exclusive rewards before, so do them early.
- Keep your Robux: Hold off buying any pass until you see the real item list and prices.
- Check codes from official sources: Codes rotate quickly, and only codes shared by the developers or creators are worth trying.

💡 Pro Tip: Take a screenshot of the item shop and quest board on day one. Pre-update item lists are often wrong, and your screenshot becomes the real checklist.
Which Halloween Update Rumors Should You Ignore?
- Exact Robux prices for sets: I found no official 2026 prices, so any number you see is a guess.
- Free VIP workarounds: Claims of free VIP are unverified and often lead to scam links.
- Complete code lists: Codes cannot be listed before the update is live.
- Candy earn rates per hour: Nobody can know this until the event opens.
Frequently Asked Questions
When is the Dress To Impress Halloween update coming out?
DTI News reported on October 4, 2026 that the update was pushed from October 10 to October 17. I could not confirm that on an official page, so treat the date as reported. Check the game's official X account and in-game news for the final launch time.
Can I claim Halloween items in Dress To Impress right now?
No. The 2026 Halloween update has not launched, so there is nothing new to claim yet. Preview videos show leaks and expectations, not live rewards. Wait for the official release, then check the item shop, quest board, and event entrance in the updated game.
Will there be a Halloween Baddie Pass in 2026?
It is not confirmed. A Halloween Baddie Pass was part of the October 2025 update, and creators expect a repeat, but I found no official 2026 announcement. Wait for the launch notes before spending Robux or planning your grind around a pass.
Can I get Halloween items without VIP?
Past events have included non-VIP items. The 2024 update had 31 non-VIP items against 28 VIP, according to Pocket Tactics, plus quest rewards you cannot buy. The 2026 split is unknown until launch, but free items are likely to appear again.
How do I find the Halloween event in Dress To Impress?
A 2026 guide says previous events used a green portal in the lobby or a Halloween server in the room list. The 2026 setup is not confirmed. After the update, look for both, and read any in-game announcement that appears when you join.
Are Dress To Impress Halloween codes available yet?
I found no verified Halloween 2026 codes. Codes usually appear with or after an update and rotate quickly, so any list posted before launch is a guess. Use codes shared by the developers or trusted creators, and expect some to expire within days.
Final Thoughts on the Dress To Impress Halloween Update
The Dress To Impress Halloween update is real, three sets are confirmed, and the reported date is October 17. Everything else is a preview. Keep your Robux, watch the official account, and use last year's event as a map, not a promise. I will update this post with the real claim steps the moment the update goes live.
