Derpy Duck Brigade Plush: Handmade Long Neck Duck Plush with Floppy Feet

Meet the Derpy Duck Brigade Plush, a derpy duck plush that looks like it just forgot why it walked into the room. With a stretched neck, a permanently confused head tilt and wild long hair, this quirky plush toy earns a double take from everyone who sees it. Each one is a handmade duck plushie filled with soft PP cotton, ready to sit on your bed, sofa or desk and quietly judge the room.

Every fluffy duck plushie comes in your choice of four colors, Black, White, Pink and Yellow, and two heights, 35cm and 45cm. Each plush is sold individually, so you pick exactly the color and height you want.

Why This Funny Duck Plush Steals the Show

Most stuffed animals try hard to look adorable. This one is not trying at all, and that is the whole appeal. The tilted head duck plush expression reads as baffled, sleepy and slightly suspicious all at once, while the shaggy fibers on top give it a windswept, just woke up attitude. It belongs firmly to the ugly cute plush school of design, where odd proportions are exactly what make you want to hug it.

A Sitting Duck Plush with Floppy Webbed Feet

The floppy webbed feet let this sitting duck plush stay upright, so it can hold its post on a shelf, a headboard or a gaming desk. It makes a great conversation starter wherever it lands.

A Duck Sleeping Pillow for Naps and Decor

With its soft plush surface and PP cotton filling, this design doubles as a decorative duck sleeping pillow. Tuck it under your arm for a nap, then put it back on the bed as the strangest cushion in the house.

Choose Your Color

• Black: a moody option for darker rooms and gothic shelves.
• White: a clean, classic look that suits any bedroom.
• Pink: a playful pop of color for bright, cozy spaces.
• Yellow: a cheerful shade that recalls the classic bath duck.

The Origin of the Long Neck Duck Trend

The Derpy Duck Brigade is an original comedic design and not a portrait of any one duck. Still, it sits in a very real corner of internet culture, where tall, awkward and confused looking ducks have been winning hearts for years.

The Tall Duck That Went Viral

The most famous long necked bird online was a mallard and Indian Runner cross who lived by a campus lake at a university in northern England. He went viral after a social media post wrongly described him as the tallest mallard ever, at over one meter. His real height was closer to 70cm, but the internet had already fallen in love. It is hard to look at a long neck duck plush today without thinking of him.

From Paper Ducks to Plush Ducks

Ducks became internet regulars well beyond one university campus. A plush yellow bird holding a toy knife picked up major attention on Tumblr in 2017 and is still shared as a wholesome joke, proving that a good meme plush can outlast almost any trend. In December 2021, TikTok creators began drawing paper duck dolls and building them tiny outfits and bedrooms. The look of those paper ducks was based on a plush duck doll, so toys and memes were feeding each other from the start.

Why Derpy Designs Keep Winning

The shaggy styling has found its own fan base too, with shoppers searching for an explosive hair duck plush to match the look. Buyers browsing weird stuffed animals are usually after personality rather than perfection, and a duck stuffed animal with a blank stare and a bad hair day delivers plenty of it. That mix of humor and comfort is why this quirky plush toy works as both a room accent and a duck lover gift.
